Infrastructure investor Meridiam has led a €23 million round in French depot-charging specialist Chargepoly, whose modular architecture shares one power connection across many charge points. The money funds international expansion for truck and bus fleet charging.

Tesla Is Pushing a Firmware Update to Mobile Connectors
Tesla has started delivering a firmware update to Gen 2 Mobile Connectors, using the car itself as the delivery route: the vehicle downloads the package over its own connection and transfers it to the plugged-in connector, showing only an on-screen notice. Tesla has published no release notes and no version number, so what the update changes is unknown.

One Operator Has 22 Tesla Supercharger Sites in Its Pipeline
Charging operator EVIO has 22 Supercharger sites and 176 stalls in its deployment pipeline under Tesla's Supercharger for Business programme — one live at up to 325 kW, five under construction and sixteen more planned, almost all V4 hardware rated to 500 kW. Site owners set their own prices and Tesla takes $0.10 per kWh.

ADAC Measured Charging Losses: a Domestic Socket Wastes Up to 24%
A new ADAC test of five electric cars found AC charging losses stayed under 7% on an 11 or 22 kW wallbox but reached 24.2% on a household Schuko socket. The worst case, a Mercedes CLA 350 EQ, lost 24.2% at the socket against 6.9% at the wallbox.

EVgo Will Sell Tesla's Superchargers Under Its Own Brand
EVgo has agreed to deploy 500 kW Tesla V4 Superchargers under its own brand through Tesla's Supercharger for Business programme, with EVgo owning the hardware and Tesla building, operating and maintaining it. Installations start this autumn in the US.

ChargePoint Pulls App and RFID Access for Private Drivers in Europe
From 30 June 2026, ChargePoint will close the accounts of private drivers in Europe, keeping its app and RFID card only for people whose access is arranged through an employer, fleet operator or leasing company. Affected drivers can still charge at ChargePoint stations using a contactless bank card, a roaming app or a third-party service, and any money left in a ChargePoint Wallet can be refunded within 90 days.
