Mobile App Changelog

Tesla app 4.61.6 arrived on 8 October 2026 with two undocumented changes: a spooky voice for the speak-through-the-car option, which appears only when Halloween Mode is on, and Sentry or Trick or Treat labels on Dashcam clips with a new Spooky tab. Version 4.61.5 of 2 October reworked how charging cards are added and set as default, outside North America only, and added strings for a Wall Connector purchase-and-installation-quote flow that is not live.

Tesla app version 4.61.0 started rolling out on iOS on the evening of 19 September 2026. It adds passkey sign-in — Face ID, Touch ID or device passcode in place of a password, with the private key held on the device — reachable via Menu, profile name, Security & Privacy, Sign In Management, Add Passkey. It also brings Supercharger Site Maps to the phone, showing per-stall live availability including bays blocked by non-Tesla EVs. Neither feature is in the official release notes. The app version removes the AMD Ryzen infotainment requirement that kept Intel-based Model 3 and Model Y owners out, but coverage is unchanged: almost every US Supercharger is mapped and Europe has two sites, both in Belgium. No Android version or date has been confirmed.

Tesla mobile app 4.59, released 21 July 2026, companions the 2026 Summer Update with a new Self-Driving section that shows your share of miles driven on FSD, the ability to upload custom vehicle wraps straight from the app without a USB drive, and early code references to controlling the Optimus humanoid robot from your phone.

Tesla mobile app 4.58.6 brings Opticaster AI energy optimization, automated Wall Connector smart charging that targets the cheapest electricity hours, and in-app smart breaker control, consolidating Powerwall, solar and home charging under the Tesla Home platform.

Tesla mobile app 4.58.5 introduces Share App With Vehicle for easier multi-driver access, cabin-camera FSD Authentication that confirms who is behind the wheel before unlocking autonomous features, FSD Streaks, and a new Coastal Blue color option.

Tesla app 4.58, released 16 June 2026, headlines a rebuilt Charge Stats 2 with map views, iconic charging-site highlights and milestone badges. The update also brings Android Live Updates to parity with iOS Live Activities and quietly adds a top-down view for the Tesla Semi.

Tesla app version 4.57.5 rebrands the energy hub as 'Tesla Home', improves parental controls and smart charging, and surfaces the first code hints of upcoming home heat pump automation.

Tesla rolled out mobile app version 4.57.0 on 15 May 2026 with three headline changes: animated badges for Performance and Signature Edition cars, a stricter Parental Controls flow that locks Track Mode, and the first appearance of the Grok AI assistant inside the phone app.

Tesla app version 4.56 introduces Virtual Supercharger Queues with geofenced waitlists and live tracking, plus notifications when an earlier service appointment opens up. The release also brings Ownership Transfer V2 and applies to both Tesla and NACS-equipped vehicles.
