Fastned published its third-quarter trading update on 15 October 2026, and the number that matters to anyone who drives a Tesla through the Benelux, Germany or France is 65: the stations it has under construction going into the fourth quarter, almost double the figure a year ago. The network opened 17 stations in the quarter, signed 26 new high-traffic locations and reported like-for-like charging revenue of €46.3 million, up 47% on the third quarter of 2025.
The numbers
| Metric | Q3 2026 | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Charging revenue, reported | €51.3m | includes €5.1m of Dutch e-credits carried over from Q1 |
| Charging revenue, like for like | €46.3m | +47% year on year |
| Gross profit | €37m | +44% |
| Volume growth at existing stations | 27% | BEV fleet in its markets +29% |
| Annualised volume per station | 596 MWh | — |
| Annualised revenue per station, year to date | €395,000 | 2026 guidance €350,000–400,000 |
| Stations opened in Q3 | 17 | network now 451 |
| Stations under construction | 65 | almost double a year ago |
| Year-end target | 476–506 operational | 70–100 new stations in 2026 |
The reported revenue line carries a timing effect. Fastned earns Dutch renewable-fuel credits on the electricity it sells, and €5.1 million of that income for the first quarter only arrived in the third, after the government portal that issues the credits reopened. Fastned says the delay has no effect on gross profit, which is why the like-for-like figure is the one to compare.
The 17 openings take the network to 451 stations, from the 434 reported at the end of June in the half-year figures. Chief executive Michiel Langezaal's summary: "Sales at existing stations rose 27% and total sales rose by 43%, against fleet growth of 29%, and that growth is profitable."
Where the European stations are going
- Belgium: 60 stations. The new Libin Galaxia site in Wallonia has 12 charging points of up to 400 kW and was developed with the regional agency IDELUX.
- Germany: approaching 70 stations, 17 of them motorway sites built under Deutschlandnetz, the federal tender programme TeslAnt covered at its halfway mark. Fastned says the tenders gave it funding and, more importantly, sites in the most densely populated regions.
- France: Thionville Yutz opened with Fastned's first French kiosk, a format meant for land without third-party amenities.
Fastned also reports that battery-electric cars were 28.0% of new registrations across its operating markets in July and August.
The ANWB discount
In September Fastned signed with ANWB, the Dutch motoring organisation. Fastned is now promoted to more than 600,000 ANWB Charge Card users, and ANWB subscribers receive 10% off charging at Fastned stations across Europe. A Dutch Tesla owner who already carries the ANWB card gets that cut at the network Langezaal describes as the leader in the Netherlands and Belgium, without changing anything else.
Why a Tesla driver should care
Off the Supercharger network, Fastned is the fast charger a Tesla in the Netherlands or Belgium is most likely to end up at, and it is the operator adding sites fastest in Germany and France. Its economics — €395,000 of revenue per station and an operational EBITDA margin target of about 45%, reiterated today — are the benchmark that Tesla's own open-to-all-brands Superchargers compete against. They also explain the pattern TeslAnt keeps finding in European charging: the network is getting denser much faster than it is getting cheaper.
Fastned's third retail bond of 2026 stays open until 30 October, and the full-year guidance is unchanged.
