Tesla Confirms Cybercab Production Has Started at Giga Texas
Tesla confirmed on its Q1 2026 earnings call that Cybercab production has officially begun at Giga Texas. VP of Vehicle Engineering Lars Moravy also disclosed that the Cybercab is not subject to NHTSA's 2,500-vehicle annual production cap for autonomous vehicles because it complies with existing FMVSS standards without a waiver.
