Tesla has started rolling out FSD (Supervised) v14.3 Lite to Hardware 3 cars inside firmware 2026.33.5. Teslascope reported it rolling out late on 6 October 2026, US time, and Not a Tesla App dates the build 7 October. It is the same firmware that carries v14.3.11 for Hardware 4, which TeslAnt covered this morning.
The Lite branch has a new number. It does not have new release notes.
The v14.3 Lite notes are the v14.2 Lite notes
Tesla's Lite section in 2026.33.5 runs to six bullets. Every one appeared, in the same words, under v14.2 Lite in firmware 2026.27.6 on 8 September and again in 2026.27.10 on 19 September.
| Bullet in the v14.3 Lite notes | Also in v14.2 Lite |
|---|---|
| Distilled the intelligence from HW4 V14 into HW3, including reinforcement learning and offline models | Yes, verbatim |
| Improved responsiveness: navigation, merges and forks, pedestrians, traffic lights, cut-ins | Yes, verbatim |
| Improved comfort: fewer false slowdowns, smoother steering, more consistent lane centring | Yes, verbatim |
| Introduced parking, unparking and reversing | Yes, verbatim |
| Arrival Options: Parking Lot, Street or Driveway | Yes, verbatim |
| Speed Profiles available at all times | Yes, verbatim |
This is the second Lite bump in a row with no documented change. When v14.2 Lite arrived, its notes were already a reprint of v14.1 Lite's.
What did change
Two things: the number and the firmware underneath it.
| Lite version | First firmware | Arrived |
|---|---|---|
| v14 Lite | 2026.20.5.1 | late June 2026 |
| v14.1 Lite | 2026.21.6 | 9 August 2026 |
| v14.2 Lite | 2026.27.6 | 8 September 2026 |
| v14.3 Lite | 2026.33.5 | 7 October 2026 |
The Lite label now reads 14.3, the same minor version as the Hardware 4 build that ships beside it, and the base firmware has moved from 2026.27 to 2026.33 in the same step the HW4 branch took. Lite exists to distil the HW4 stack into HW3's smaller compute budget, so a bump can reflect a retrained model without a word of new text. Tesla has not said what v14.3 Lite does differently, and anyone describing an improvement this week is inferring it, not reading it.
Rollout and which cars
Drive Tesla Canada describes the deployment as extremely limited and aimed first at early-access owners. Not a Tesla App's TeslaFi-based tracker counted three cars on 2026.33.5 and 0% of the fleet on release day.
Not a Tesla App tags the Lite section for Model 3 and Model Y. It tagged 2026.27.10's Lite section the same way, although that build did reach Hardware 3 Model S and X, so the tag alone does not settle whether S and X owners get v14.3 Lite.
Europe is still on a different branch
No Lite version has shipped in Europe. Outside North America it has reached only South Korea, and Tesla's Australian and New Zealand Lite work did not name Europe either. European FSD cars run FSD 14.2.2.6, last seen on 2026.27.300. Not a Tesla App's newest build carrying that version, 2026.33.100 from 1 October, moves it onto the 2026.33 base at 0.4% of the tracked fleet without changing the FSD number.
For the roughly 7,900 European owners pressing Tesla over HW3, distillation is Tesla's software answer, and v14.3 Lite is not one they can test. Which FSD build European drivers may use is being settled in the EU type-approval process, not by a North American version number.
