Tesla released version 4.61.6 of its phone app on 8 October 2026, six days after 4.61.5. Tesla's own release notes name none of the changes below, so this record rests on Not a Tesla App's teardown of 4.61.6 and its notes on 4.61.5. Neither page states platforms or a rollout window, and Tesla has not either. The previous entry in this series is app 4.61 of 19 September, which brought passkey sign-in and Supercharger Site Maps.
4.61.6: the Halloween half
- Speak With Spooky Voice. The app's option to speak through the car's external speaker gains a spooky voice, which Not a Tesla App compares to the robotic voice already available with Sentry Mode. The option only appears once Halloween Mode is switched on in the car.
- Trick or Treat labels and a Spooky tab. Every clip in the app's Dashcam Viewer now carries a Sentry or Trick or Treat tag, and a new Spooky tab at the top of the viewer filters for the Trick or Treat recordings alone.
Both items are listed for the new Model S, Model 3, new Model X, Model Y and Cybertruck, available worldwide. Worldwide describes the app. The car side is firmware 2026.38.3, which carries Halloween Mode only on cars with AMD Ryzen infotainment; Intel-based cars receive the build without it and will not see the spooky-voice option. The 12 October update to that article records why the clips are labelled at all: Trick or Treat Mode and Sentry Mode cannot run together, and the car's own notice warns that the alarm and walk-away lock are off while Trick or Treat is on.
4.61.5: charging cards, and the outline of a Wall Connector shop
Version 4.61.5 arrived on 2 October 2026 with two undocumented changes.
- Charging Card. The flow for adding and managing charging cards is reworked, including setting a default card. Not a Tesla App lists it for supported regions only and says it is not available in North America, which makes it the one change in this pair aimed at owners outside the United States and Canada. Charging cards let an owner charge at Superchargers or third-party chargers and bill a different account.
- Home Charging Install. New strings in the app (ENABLE_HOME_CHARGING_ORDER, HOME_CHARGING_ORDER_DETAIL, HOME_CHARGING_ORDER_INFO and HOME_CHARGING_ORDER_INSTALL_INFO) point to a flow for buying a Wall Connector and receiving an installation quote. Strings are not a feature. Nothing is live, and Tesla has said nothing.

What a European owner actually gets
The practical change is the one with the least Halloween in it. The charging-card rework is explicitly for markets outside North America, so European owners are its audience; which cards a given account can add depends on the region, and the notes do not spell that out. The spooky voice needs a car that already has Halloween Mode, and that is a question for the firmware rather than the app: the option appears in the app only after the car has it, and an Intel-based Model 3 or Model Y will not get it this year. The Wall Connector installation flow would matter most where Tesla already sells and installs its own hardware, but at 4.61.5 it is four strings and nothing more. If it ships, it will be in a later version, and this series will record it.
