Tesla began pushing firmware 2026.39.6 to European cars with FSD (Supervised) on 29 October 2026. It moves them off 2026.33.100, the build they have run since 1 October, and onto a base that carries the features the rest of the European fleet received earlier this month. Halloween Mode is the one owners will notice, and it arrives two days before Halloween.

The driving software does not change. Like the build it replaces, 2026.39.6 carries FSD 14.2.2.6.

What changes for an FSD car in Europe

Release-note entry 2026.33.100 (1 Oct) 2026.39.6 (29 Oct)
FSD (Supervised) 14.2.2.6 14.2.2.6
Halloween Mode — New
Emergency Drive Away — New, US Superchargers only
Supercharger Site Maps — New, pilot sites only
Visual Updates (car images, park scene) — New
Dynamic Headlight Leveling — New, specific vehicles
Set Arrival Energy Since August Listed again

None of these entries is new to Tesla. Halloween Mode first shipped in 2026.38.3 on 6 October, and cars without FSD have had most of the rest since 2026.38 at the end of September.

Two of them come with limits. Tesla describes Emergency Drive Away as live at US Superchargers only, so its arrival in the notes does not make it usable here. Supercharger Site Maps appear only at pilot sites, and in September Europe had two, both in Belgium. The full Halloween scene needs an AMD Ryzen computer; Intel cars get the wraps and licence plates only.

The notes, as Not a Tesla App reproduces them, still call the system FSD (Supervised). The Tesla Assisted Driving name that Tesla adopted on its European website this month has not reached the car with this build.

Who has it

TeslaFi had logged six installs by 22:00 UTC on 29 October, with eight more pending. All six were Hardware 4 cars updating from 2026.33.100: three in Denmark and three in Belgium, five Model S and one Model Y. Not a Tesla App lists the build as "FSD 14.2.2.6 Europe". It is the first 2026.39 build in TeslaFi's tracked fleet, numbered above the 2026.38 branch most of the fleet runs.

The system is approved in ten EU countries, Denmark and Belgium among them, and this is the branch their cars follow.

FSD has not moved since August

European FSD cars received 14.2.2.6 with 2026.27.100.1 on 24 August. Since then the firmware underneath has changed four times (2026.27.200, 2026.27.300, 2026.33.100 and now 2026.39.6) without the FSD number changing once. Over the same period, North American Hardware 4 cars have moved from v14.3.8, released at the end of August, to v14.3.13.

It is the same pattern as in August. Tesla merges its newest infotainment features into the European FSD branch weeks after cars without FSD get them, and leaves the driving software alone.

Cars without FSD: 2026.38.6

The same evening, European cars without FSD started moving from 2026.38.3.2 to 2026.38.6. Of the last 100 installs TeslaFi logged before 22:00 UTC, 58 were this build, 56 of them in Europe, led by Germany (15) and the United Kingdom (13). Its release notes repeat the seven entries of 2026.38.3.2, so nothing new is documented for those cars.

One point to watch: both new builds carry later numbers than the 2026.38.5 builds in which owners have reported third-party V2L adapters cutting out. No European owner has yet reported the same on 2026.38.6 or 2026.39.6.
