Two Thirds of Carwow's German Users Say Their Next Car Is Electric. Four in Ten Will Switch Brand Rather Than Wait.
Carwow published a German buyer survey on 28 September 2026: 57.8% say fuel prices make them consider an EV more strongly, 66.4% name a battery-electric car as their next purchase, and only 7.8% would pick petrol or diesel. Configurations on carwow's own site ran 79% electric over a two-week period. The sharper finding is about patience: 60% call short delivery times important, and if faced with a seven-month wait, 40% would move to a quicker-to-deliver EV rather than hold on. That last number is the one that favours Tesla in Germany.

Goldman Cut Its Tesla Q3 Call to 435,000. It Also Took 40,000 Off Q4.

The Neutral rating and $360 target were left unchanged. Goldman now sits about 21,000 below the Visible Alpha consensus of 456,000 and well below prediction markets near 480,000.

BYD has not confirmed it. Tesla charters its ro-ro capacity instead, and builds European Model Ys in Germany.

Volkswagen to Cut Up to 100,000 Jobs as Tesla and Chinese EVs Close In
Volkswagen is reportedly planning to cut up to 100,000 jobs — about 15% of its workforce — and potentially close four factories in the most radical restructuring of its 89-year history. The reported plan, phased over several years and not yet confirmed by VW, is driven by intense pressure from Tesla on premium EVs and Chinese brands like BYD on price, and stands in sharp contrast to Tesla's expanding European production.
