Tesla has released Full Self-Driving (Supervised) v14.3.7 inside firmware 2026.21.5, a Hardware 4 build that began reaching North American cars on 1 August 2026. It is a rare kind of release for this branch: one with nothing new to announce. The point of it is not a feature — it is a fix.

Identical release notes to v14.3.6

The release notes attached to v14.3.7 are byte-for-byte the same as the v14.3.6 build that shipped the week before. That means there is no genuinely new user-facing behaviour here — the stricter driver monitoring, the intervention-reason picker, the improved compound-traffic-light handling and the unified Actually Smart Summon / FSD / Robotaxi model were all introduced with earlier point releases and are simply carried forward again.

When Tesla ships two consecutive builds under matching release notes, it is signalling maintenance work: neural-net tuning, an upgraded reinforcement-learning training stage and bug fixes rather than headline additions. Read the notes as a version stamp, not a changelog, and you will judge this build correctly.

The regressions are the reason it exists

v14.3.6 drew unusual criticism for a wide-release build. Owners reported that brake-stuttering and shadow braking — the car hesitating, re-applying the brakes or slowing for nothing — had returned after earlier point releases had largely settled them.

v14.3.7 appears to be Tesla's answer. In an early review after about 90 miles of driving, Teslarati reported that the hesitancy was gone: no brake-stabbing, no wheel-jerking and none of the uncertain, low-confidence movements that defined v14.3.6. The reviewer went further, saying the build helped avoid a collision with an inattentive driver within the first 40 minutes behind the wheel. That is one tester's early impression rather than fleet-wide proof, but it is consistent with the theory that Tesla pushed v14.3.7 specifically to walk back the previous build's braking behaviour.

Rollout status

As of 1 August the build sat at the very start of its rollout — tracked at 0% of the fleet by NotATeslaApp — and, like v14.3.6, it is a Hardware 4 (AI4) release confined to North America, with Cybertruck among the eligible models. Expect it to widen in daily waves over the following week if the early braking feedback holds.

What European owners should expect

Still nothing immediate. European HW4 cars sit on the merged EU software branch Tesla established with v14.2.2.6 and have not received the 14.3.x wide builds. For EU owners this is best read as a preview: the branch that eventually crosses the Atlantic should arrive already carrying v14.3.7's braking fix rather than v14.3.6's regression — a good reason to have let North America test this one first.
