Tesla is making its most popular vehicle more attractive for European buyers this month with two moves: an extended €3,000 bonus on select Model Y variants and the return of the seven-seat configuration in the UK.
€3,000 Bonus Extended to April 30
The "Tesla Bonus" promotion, originally launched in February 2026, now runs through April 30. It applies to the Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive and Model Y Maximum Range Rear-Wheel Drive variants. The €3,000 discount is applied at the point of order and is available alongside 0% financing in participating markets.
For buyers in Germany, where the national EV subsidy ended in late 2024, this manufacturer discount represents the most significant incentive currently available for a new Tesla. Combined with 0% financing, it substantially lowers the barrier to entry for the most affordable Model Y.
Seven-Seat Model Y Returns to the UK
Separately, Tesla has reintroduced the seven-seat option for the Model Y in the United Kingdom. The third-row seating carries a £2,500 premium over the standard five-seat configuration, with deliveries expected from May 2026.
The seven-seat option had been unavailable since the refreshed Model Y (codenamed "Juniper") launched earlier this year. Its return addresses a gap for families who need occasional extra seating without stepping up to a larger vehicle — particularly relevant now that the Model X is no longer in production.
European Buying Landscape
These incentives arrive at a moment when Tesla's European sales show early signs of recovery after a difficult 2025. February registrations rose 29.1% year-over-year across the EU, UK, and EFTA, breaking a 13-month losing streak. The combination of pricing incentives and expanded options suggests Tesla is prioritising volume recovery in Europe heading into the traditionally strong spring buying season.
Who Should Act
Buyers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Netherlands considering a Model Y RWD should weigh the €3,000 bonus before the April 30 deadline. UK buyers who need seven seats should configure promptly, as previous seven-seat allocations have been limited.
